If you want to download a thumbnail from Youtube, you need to follow these steps:

Open the browser of your choice and go to youtube.com/editor to access the editor tool.

Once logged in, select the video whose thumbnail you want to download and copy its URL from the address bar (right-click> Copy URL).

Go back to ChimpFTP and paste this URL into the “File Path” field on the top of your window. Save this file somewhere on your computer as an image (*jpg).

3-Type your search query click on Enter and then select the video which you want to download.

Now, type your search query in the YouTube search box and hit the enter button. At this point, you will be presented with a list of results that match your search query and you can now select which video you want to download. Copy the link address of that video by right-clicking it and selecting “copy link location” or by pressing Ctrl +C on your keyboard.

7-Select the thumbnail image by clicking on it once. Then click ‘Download’ from the top menu bar on the left side of the screen (or right-click> Save Image As…).

You will see the terms and conditions but you can ignore it as these are not important for your purpose. You need to click on the download button after selecting your favorite thumbnail image which you want to download. You will see a new window with a progress bar that shows how much time is left for downloading process to complete, this time depends upon the size or length of the video file being downloaded by you and is generally less than 1 minute depending on the internet connection speed, etc.,

When your file has been fully downloaded, it will be saved as .jpg format in a folder named “Downloads” which is present inside Google/Gmail account folder called Gmail

7-And done, your image has been downloaded successfully to your system.

Now you'll be able to use this image as you please.

To get the image out of the zip file, open your Downloads folder and find the downloaded picture. Right-click (or control-click on a Mac) on it and choose Extract All from the context menu that appears. This will pop up a window asking you where to extract them; pick a good location like Pictures or Documents, then click OK.

Go to the YouTube video you want to download and click on it, this will bring up a window with options for sharing the video.

Click “YouTube” at the top and then select “Download Video” from the drop-down menu that appears

Type in a name for your file, choose where to save it (or just go with YouTube's default), and hit "Save"
